Winter Storm Brings Snow, Rain, Wind
A winter storm is bringing snow to the Sierra and the prospect of wet and windy weather to the foothills.
A snow advisory is in effect today through tomorrow (Tuesday) for the Lake Tahoe region above seven-thousand feet, where forecasters say more than a foot of snow is possible.
Chains or snow tires are required this morning on all trans-Sierra highways, including Interstate 80 over Donner Summit, U.S. 50 over Echo Summit, California 88 on the Carson Spur, Highway 108 and Highway 4 in the Mother Lode.
