Big waves, unusually high tides and strong winds could cause some problems across a wide area of Northern California today.
The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory from Point Arena all the way south to Monterey Bay.
Forecasters say large waves will hit area beaches this morning just as one of the highest tides of the month rolls in. Some minor coastal flooding is possible
The National Weather Service has also issued a high wind warning for the Mother Lode through this afternoon. Gusts up to 50 miles-per-hour are expected.
More rain is expected to fall on the region today, before tapering off to showers through tomorrow.
