Wind, Trees Cause Downtown Power Outage in Sonora

The power went out after 10 pm Tuesday night in downtown Sonora.

Officials say trees knocked into some power lines at the 400 block of South Stewart Street. It´s believed the windy and wet conditions caused tree limbs to hit the power lines, overloading a transformer in the downtown Sonora area.

While there was no power in the downtown area, there was also no fire. It´s a good idea to slow down and treat all malfunctioning traffic signals as four-way stops.
