The woman appointed to overhaul California´s troubled prison system is a corrections veteran widely praised as a tough-but-fair administrator.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger says he´s confident in appointing Jeanne Woodford as head of the Corrections Department this week. Woodford says she looks forward to working with Schwarzenegger to “re-establish public confidence in California´s prison system through real reform.”
