An Ohio company that manufactures an Arnold Schwarzenegger bobblehead says it has retained a legal team to protect the doll. Schwarzenegger´s Oak Productions has filed a lawsuit against Discount Merchandise, claiming it hijacked Schwarzenegger´s image.
The $19.99 Schwarzenegger doll is dressed in a business suit, clutching an assault rifle. An attorney for a firm which will represent Discount Merchandise says the doll “is a clear political parody and caricature” and says the governor “is not immune from political satire.”
The lawsuit says the governor´s company “does not permit Schwarzenegger´s name, photograph, likeness or voice to be used on commercial products,” unless authorized.
