Members of every branch of law enforcement were at Courthouse Park Wednesday to honor fallen comrades.
Lieutenant Michael Ayala represented the California Highway Patrol, Chief Duane Ellis represented the Sonora Police Department, and Sheriff Dick Rogers spoke on behalf of the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department.
In addition, District Attorney Dan Segerstrom addressed the officers and citizens in attendence.
A flyover by the Air Support Unit of the Stanislaus County Sheriff´s Department also paid tribute to officers killed in the line of duty.
A 21-gun salute served as a further reminder that tragic events take the lives of public servants, and honored their memories.
