Feds Take Second Look At Tanker Fleet Decision
The feds apparently are going to take a second look at their decision to ground the entire fleet of air tankers used to battle wildfires.
Utah Congressman Rick Renzi says an agreement´s been reached that will allow the FAA to look at each tanker individually to determine if it can safely fly.
The government recently ended its contract for 33 large air tankers due to questions over their airworthiness.
Meanwhile, Renzi says two military C-130 tankers are going to be temporarily based at Williams Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona for wildfire fighting duty.
