Sacramento, CA — Doctors are saying Arnold Schwarzenegger has a normal heart after examining the governor earlier today.
Schwarzenegger had sought medical attention for a rapid heartbeat early this morning.
Schwarzenegger had heart surgery in 1997 to repair a hereditary valve problem. Doctors say an occasional rapid heartbeat is common after that kind of operation.
The governor had what his office called the stomach flu yesterday, and experienced a rapid heartbeat to the point that he went to the University of California, Davis, Medical Center about midnight.
His spokeswoman says doctors found his heart rate was normal and he was released after a few hours of medical observation.
He is said to be back at work today and keeping his normal schedule.
