Sacramento, CA — The leader of the state´s largest farming organization is urging unity among California farmers and ranchers.
California Farm Bureau President Bill Pauli addressed members gathered in Monterey yesterday.
Pauli told members that farmers would face a number of issues in the coming year, including labor shortages, a farm policy debate in congress, and efforts to modernize endangered species protections.
The organization anticipates naming a new president tomorrow. Day two of the three day conference will feature an address by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today.
