Sacramento, CA — Governor Schwarzenegger is on the road as he campaigns for initiatives on Tuesday´s special election ballot.
He won´t be alone, though, if opponents can help it. Democrats, members of teacher and firefighter unions and others who oppose the ballot measures will be shadowing the governor in what they call a “truth bus,” holding rallies at some of the same places he stops.
They include actors Warren Beatty and Anette Bening. Opponents also are promising an army of volunteers will man phone banks and go door-to-door in a get-out-the-vote campaign.
Polls show Californians aren´t favoring the four ballot measures and Schwarzenegger´s popularity ratings also have plummeted.
