Sonora, CA — PG&E is reporting that the widespread power outage will soon be over.
More than 40,000 customers were without power earlier today due to a Transmission Substation that went down. Spokeswoman Emily Barnett says they are still not aware of the cause of the outage, however all customers from Oakdale to Sonora and most of Calaveras County will be back up by 6:30.
Barnet says 10 of the 11 substations are back up and operational. She says they are back-feeding the power through alternate lines while PG&E officials work to identify the problem.
