Sacramento, CA — Governor Schwarzenegger doesn´t want his face on TV, for a change.
His staff have asked television stations to quit running commercials backing initiatives on next month´s special election ballot.
The ads show Schwarzenegger urging voters to approve the measures and help him rebuild California.
Opponents have spent millions attacking the measures and the governor personally for backing them. Polls show public approval of the governor is way down.
However, a spokesman for the governor´s campaign says that has nothing to do with pulling the TV commercials. He says the governor will continue to make public appearances in support of the ballot measures.
