Schwarzenegger Kicks Off Get-Out-The-Vote Campaign
Sacramento, CA — Governor Schwarzenegger has kicked off a get-out-the vote campaign for four ballot measures he is promoting for the November special election.
Schwarzenegger is hoping to boost interest in an election that has no candidates on the ballot. The measures Schwarzenegger is promoting would put limits on state spending and rein in the power of public employee unions and the state Legislature.
Other measures on the ballot seek to restrict abortions among minors, reregulate the energy market and lower prescription drug prices.
