Sacramento, CA — Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has named a former state finance director and a San Francisco real estate developer to the University of California Board of Regents.
Russell Gould and Leslie Tang Schilling have been selected by the governor for seats on the influential board.
Gould would take the seat previously held by Ward Connerly. Gould was Govenor Pete Wilson´s finance director and chief budget advisor from 1993-96. Before that he served as the governor´s secretary of health and welfare.
Schilling was named to fill the seat left when Haim Saban stepped down last year. She is president of Union Square Investments, a San Francisco-based commercial real estate and management firm she founded in 1981.
The Senate must confirm the appointments, which are unpaid.
