P.G.& E. says a power outage affecting about a thousand customers in the Longeway area was caused by a falling tree branch.
Spokeswoman Emily Barnett says that the large oak tree branch fell on a power line shortly before 2:00 this afternoon causing two transformers to go into safety shutdown.
Those transformers were reactivated a short time later, leaving only six customers without power while crews reattached the line.
CDF also responded to the area because of a small grass fire sparked by the downed power line.
CDF says the fire was quickly extinguished and held to under a half acre.
