Dark, stormy clouds replete with rain and gusty winds sent tree limbs flying into power lines yesterday, disrupting the delivery of electricity, and some Mother Lode residents may still be without power this morning. Nearly 7000 Tuolumne County residents were without power during the peak of the outage late yesterday afternoon. In Angel´s Camp, a large storm cell pounded the area with rain and wind late in the day, flooding some area roads. Wet and not quite so windy weather remains on tap for today creating hazardous driving conditions at higher elevations. The snow level may drop below 2000 feet and there were plenty of flakes falling at Twain Hart and above last night. P.G.& E.´s Emily Barnett recommends that customers keep fresh batteries, a flashlight, radio and other emergency supplies handy. Power outage information should be reported to the utility by calling 800-743-5002.
