The results of a new poll conducted by the non-partisan Public Policy Institute of California indicate the governor still has the support of a majority of voters.
The poll of 1,613 registered voters also found support for Arnold Schwarzenegger among Democrats and independents has declined since last year. The survey indicates that 60-percent of those polled approve of the governor´s performance in office. Schwarzenegger´s support was proportionally much lower with Democrats. The state´s budget was cited as the primary concern by respondents. The poll was conducted over a period of eight days, ending on January 18th. The survey´s margin of error is plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.
