Schwarzenegger Fundraising To Support Initiatives

WASHINGTON (AP) __ Governor Schwarzenegger visited Washington D-C Tuesday and fund-raising was again on his agenda.

He´s trying to raise $50 million to pay for a special election for his reform initiatives, and is defending his decision to take money from special interest groups. Taking special interest out of politics was a huge part of his campaign, but Schwarzenegger told N-B-C´s “Today” show Tuesday that he doesn´t “look at exactly who is giving money.” He says he´s raising money for the initiatives and that he would “never let special interest tell (him) what to do.”

He also believes that approval rating have slipped slightly because he´s going after major reforms that´s making many groups “unhappy.”
