STANFORD, Calif. (AP) __ Governor Schwarzenegger says he does not have a gripe with nurses or teachers, just the unions that represent them.
In an interview on M-S-N-B-C, the governor said a state law that prohibits schools from hiring outsiders to mow lawns, repair roofs and make other fixes cost schools 300 (m) million dollars last year.
He also criticized the nurses´ union for looking out for themsleves instead of the people´s interests. Schwarzenegger also responded to a judge´s ruling that California´s ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional. He says he doesn´t believe in gay marriage but would abide by whatever decision the state Supreme Court eventually makes.
