Two agencies from the Motherlode are due to be recognized Tuesday during a tribute to the rights of crime victims.
It is a part of the 25th anniversary of National Crime Victims Rights Week, taking place next week. President Reagan proclaimed the first such week in 1981 and Tuesday´s ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. Gov. Schwarzenegger´s office, the California District Attorneys Association and the Institute for the Advancement of Criminal Justice plan to recognize more than 100 agencies for their work in helping victims of crime.
The list includes Human Resources Council in Calaveras County and Mountain Women´s Resource Center and Operation Care in Tuolumne County
