Sonora, CA — The Mother Lode Round-up is finally here!
There have been several events that have led up to the parade that is scheduled to start this morning at 10:00am!
The Queen has been crowned, and is ready to lead the Grand Entry, as well as ride “pick-up” for the timed stock events at the rodeo.
The Sheriff´s Posse Calcutta Auction was also a hit Thursday night raising more money than usual for the High School Scholarship program.
Posse member Jim Campidonica was there and he said the event was a huge success, as well as a great kick off for the events to follow.
After the parade there is a rodeo at 2pm, followed by the dance, and Sunday will not be a day of rest for the Mother Lode, with the cowboy breakfast and church in the morning, to gear up for the last event of the Rodeo at 2pm.
