Sonora, CA — Sonora residents will be given the chance to get rid of their unwanted hazardous household waste products next month.
Tuolumne County Solid Waste Manager Mark Rappaport says reservations are required June 4th event.
Residents will have a chance to drop off such items as unwanted medications, ink-jet cartridges and cell phones. Residents can also drop off one video device per family such as a television set, computer monitor or laptop computer.
Officials encourage those dropping off hazardous waste items to keep incompatible items separate and make sure lids are on tight.
The county plans several drop off events through September.
