San Andreas, CA — While voting to initiate the General Plan update process the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will also decide whether a moratorium should be put in place on new development.
A moratorium is only one of the options before the board. The option that staff recommends is to continue processing existing applications and adopt an urgency ordinance that sets certain processing guidelines for new applications.
The board meets at 9 a.m. at the county Government Center in San Andreas. The General Plan issue will be considered after 1:30 p.m. at the Metropolitan in San Andreas.
