Impossible to enjoy our local resources

Sponsored by:

My family and I live and work in Tuolumne County, but this weekend, when we were out trying to enjoy our beautiful, local resources, we were run out by valley gang bangers.

We were camping at Beardsley, and if you are familiar with the overnight camping area, the first 10 spots on the right were all taken up by around 30+ people (gangbangers by the looks of their tattoos and ethnicity). Friday night they “bumped” their music till around 11:30pm, (quiet time starts at 10pm), so that I could put up with, however, on Saturday night, they decided to drink, fist fight and shoot guns off till 3:30 in the morning.

Now, since we were camped down further past the restrooms, we couldn’t leave (they had blocked the road)… can’t confront them (unless you don’t mind being beat up or worse shot) … you put up with it.

We packed up first thing in the morning, got to the store at Strawberry and called the sheriffs office. Well, budget cuts affect everybody and they can’t send anybody up until 2pm, by then there are going to be gone. No sure if there is anything anybody can do, I guess I just needed to vent.

By the way, we are going to try this again, however, we will be going to Lake Alpine, where threre is a site manager at the campgrounds and people like that will be kicked out if they can’t abide by the rules. I, for one, will never camp at Beardsley again.
