First off I would like to start by saying I am really disappointed and upset that the U.S Forest service employed a young man and while on the way home from work, was killed in a motorcycle accident and during the process of bringing him home from the valley. I did not see ONE firefighting vehicle that belonged to the U.S Forest Service. Not even the fire engine that he was working on ( LongBarn E-12). Firefighters have a creed that when one goes down every brother and sister of his that works fire are there for support for the family and friends.
There were over 20 fire engines that belonged to other fire depts other than the one who he worked on. As a tax payer I would like to know where and why the long barn engine was not there. Not for his family and sadly not for him.
