Why do we keep a fleet of over 40 tax exempt vehicles in the county offices parking lot??? What about the cost of upkeep for: purchase, maintanence, insurance, depreciation, gas and keeping them clean? There seems to be half of the cars left unused. Would not it be cost effective to get rid of these vehicles and pay the 50 cents a mile to the few that use these cars? It is not like there traveling to Sacramento every day. Most are local miles.
