County counselor in California accused of sex with teens
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- A former county probation counselor in Northern California has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with two teenage boys while they were at a detention facility.
Santa Clara County jail records show 36-year-old Tricia Caparra was scheduled to appear in court on Friday. The online records did not indicate whether she had an attorney, and an email to the district attorney's office was not immediately returned.
Santa Clara County officials say deputies arrested Caparra on Thursday. The San Jose Mercury News says (http://bayareane.ws/2yMKIFu) the former counselor is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old while they were housed at the William F. James Boys Ranch in Morgan Hill.
County officials say one of the victims came forward last year, and Caparra resigned from her job in July.
