Ty Ferré, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Hydrology and Water Resources at the
University of Arizona. He puts a high priority on meeting with folks outside of the university setting, including scientists, regulators, stakeholders, or other groups that don’t often get a chance to meet with a visiting hydrologist. After he presents the Distinguished Darcy Lecture at Columbia College, he will moderate an informal Q&A session at Bret Harte HS in Angels Camp. He will show how focusing on practical problems can improve the integration of science into economic and policy decisions. He is interested in the community’s response to the devastating fires.
