The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Dept., Tuolumne County Public Health Dept., YES Partnership and the DEA are providing a safe and confidential way for members of our community to rid their homes of unused or expired medications. Near the Sheriff’s Community Unit and Bear’s Garden Florist. Participants are encouraged to drop off all prescribed and over the counter medication except for intravenous solutions, injectables and syringes. Liquid products, such as cough syrup, should remain sealed in their original container.
Participants are encouraged to remove medications from their containers prior to disposal. All participants will remain anonymous and no record of dropped off medications will be maintained. A Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputy will be on scene to provide security for the participants and for the controlled substances. Let’s keep these medications from leading to an accidental poisoning, overdose or abuse. You can help!!
