The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Community Services Unit is a valuable asset to our Office.
They have been in service since 1992. The CSU takes and does the processing of Livescan fingerprints and applications for CCW Permits. They serve subpoenas, assist in traffic control and crime scene security, patrol handicapped parking, provide disaster response and support, neighborhood watch programs, vacation home checks, place orders for home address markers, and assist search and rescue team with missions when needed. The CSU also assists in transporting witnesses to and from court.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Community Services Unit has 5 office locations throughout the county. This unit volunteers numerous hours to free up valuable time for sworn deputies to focus on crime prevention and calls for service. In the 24 years the CSU has been in operation, they have volunteered an astounding 326,000 hours of service to our community. We thank them for their hard work and dedication.
