More than 40 of Calaveras County’s most acclaimed winemakers, chefs and artists will converge at Ironstone Vineyards, 1894 Six Mile Road, Murphys, for the Tenth annual Taste of Calaveras from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 16. The event features wine tasting, gourmet samplings, live music by the Bob Eisenmann Jazz Trio, food and wine demonstrations, artists painting on site and a silent auction.
While winemakers pour their award-winning wines, chefs hand out samples of culinary delights and artists paint from their palette, guests will be able to engage in a number of short educational cooking and wine demonstrations by local chefs and winemakers in the breezeway and wine caves at Ironstone.
Tickets are now available online at www.tasteofcalaveras.com, by calling (209) 736-1333 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door and also include an etched commemorative wine glass. Proceeds from the event go toward the many community projects of the Angels Camp Business Association.
