Summer Reading Program’s Reading Takes You Everywhere continues to heat up at Tuolumne County Library. All branches will offer special fun programs beginning with Tuolumne City Branch, located at 18636 Main Street in Tuolumne City, Tuesday, June 26th from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Boys and girls will participate in Build Day, as they build with interlocking bricks, Marble Runs, Magnetic Build Sticks, “dry sand,” and more to design and build their own masterpiece. This program is open to children of all ages and no sign-up is required.
Twain Harte Branch will offer their special program Wednesday, June 27th beginning at 10 AM for story time. At 10:30 AM children ages 6 and up will participate in To Space and Beyond! and make moon eggs, space dioramas and more. There will also be an interactive table, easel, and reading tent for little ones. Finally from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM young readers can sign up to read to a Therapy Dog.
Children in Groveland will take a trip across America with their program, An American Trip on Wednesday, June 27th at 1:30 until 3:00 PM. Boys and girls ages 6 and up will explore America through crafts, games, and fun activities.
Tuesday, June 26th, at 1:00 PM Sonora Main Library will offer the Paws to Read program for children. This successful program encourages even the most reluctant reader to read aloud to a specially trained dog. On Thursday, June 28th from 3:30 PM until 5 PM the program Myths and Legends of the World will be offered for children of all ages. Boys and girls will discover myths that cross cultures through stories, activities, and crafts.
Youth of all ages can also sign-up for Summer Reading at any stop the Tuolumne County Library Bookmobile visits. The week of June 26 through June 28 the Bookmobile will visit the following stops:
Tuesday, June 26th from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM the vehicle will be at Don Pedro Market, Wednesday, June 27th the mobile library will be at Columbia Post Office from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and on Thursday, June 28th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM the mobile library will visit Crystal Falls Clubhouse.
