Jamestown School will be the site of a free two-day basketball clinic during the school spring break this year. The clinic will be held Thursday and Friday April 2nd and 3rd from 9 AM until 4 PM and feature morning work outs and drills and afternoon games.
The event is free and open to the first 60 boys and girls in grades 5-8 who sign up. Snacks and lunch will be provided.
Area youth coaches and high school players will be working with participants to improve conditioning, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and all around skills.
“It’s a chance for players from different schools to play together during their time off from school.” Says Jamestown coach and athletic director Mark Dyken. “We want to help the quality of play improve across the county and give kids who can’t get to camps due to cost and transportation issues a shot at the experience of a camp atmosphere close to home.”
Players can register on line at www.jamestown.k12.ca.us/forms or contact Kristin Barajas at 984-5217 x 151 to have a form sent by mail. To volunteer or help sponsor the event contact Mark Dyken at 984-4704 x114
