“Sounds of the Season” Community Chorus Concert
Date(s) - 12/03/2017
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Sonora Opera Hall
The Columbia College Community Chorus, led by Dr. Daryl Hollinger, will perform its annual “Sounds of the Season” concert in the Sonora Opera Hall December 1, 2 and 3–a Friday evening performance and matinees on both Saturday and Sunday. Designed to get concert-goers into the holiday spirit, the program features the 50-member chorus performing a variety of choral music. The feature piece is John Rutter’s “Magnificat” with orchestral accompaniment. Other favorite songs will include “I Saw Three Ships,” “Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella,” and “A Musicological Journey Through the Twelve Days of Christmas.” The audience has an opportunity to sing along too! And to keep up the tradition, the concert will end with the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah.”
Tickets are $10, or $5 for those under age 12, and they will be available at the door for $12. For more information, call 533-2319.
