Presented by Ed Pandilfino Ed (along with Ed Beedy) are co-authors of the new UC Press book “Birds of the Sierra Nevada”. The book contains excellent discussions of each bird of the area, both biology and distribution, as well as excellent illustrations. Since retiring in 1999 Ed has devoted his life to birds, working on habitat conservation and avian research. Ed is president of Western Field Ornithologists, and is one of the Regional Editors for the publication, North American Birds. He plans to take those interested out to watch our local birds in the Park before the program at 8 am. All Seminars will be held in Jack Knight Hall at Calaveras Big Trees State Park from 10:00 am-12 noon There is a day-use fee to enter the Park.
The seminars are free and open to the public.
