A very kind woman, LuAnne Spackman from Angels Camp makes comfort quilts called “You are loved,” for children and seniors that are in difficult situations, in hope that it brings them some comfort. It is her way to send a hug to those in need.

Every quilt has a story. She meets with Deputy Sandelin to share the meaning behind each quilt. Jackie Reeves of Jackie’s Quilting donates the overall stitching. Her goal is to stock at least one comfort quilt in every Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Patrol vehicle for Deputies to hand out in the field when contacting children and seniors in the community going through a difficult time. She is also trying to reach out to anyone who would like to donate their time and skills in making these wonderful quilts.

If you would like to be a part of making these quilts contact Deputy Sandelin at 533-5815.
