Register with the Mother Lode Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program to be a volunteer to assist with monitoring the quality of care, identifying and resolving problems, and to respond to complaints received on behalf of residents in long-term and residential care facilities in Amador, Calaveras, Mariposa, and Tuolumne Counties.
We are seeking volunteer advocates who are comfortable with assisting in conflict resolution, have excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to be objective and independent during investigations.
A free state-mandated 36-hour training to become certified by the California Department of Aging will begin May 9th in Sonora and the monthly time commitment is approximately 15 flexible hours. Classes will be Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 4:30pm.
