Fun in the Sun at Sonora Main Library

The Tuolumne County Library at Sonora will offer its annual Summer Reading Club kick-off “Fun in the Sun” on Wednesday, June 18th at 10:30 am until 12:00 noon. This fun event will be held at the Heaven for Kids picnic area next to the library. Children of all ages are invited to attend and participate in the planned activities which include; face painting, crafts, games, bubbles, and a special story time will be led by Maryann Curmi, our local radio personality. McGruff, the crime prevention dog, will visit the library for the morning with the Twain Harte Community Services Department. They will be offering fingerprinting for children in the library’s lobby.

Children can sign-up and receive their Summer Reading Club bags at this event that contain their Reading Logs. All children can participate and read or be read to and earn fun incentives. Children who read or are read to for 6 hours are invited to a special End of Summer Reading Pool Party at Sonora High Pool on Saturday, August 2nd from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
