Please join us for the Elder Empowerment Conference Wednesday, June 13th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at The Hotel & Conference Center at Black Oak Casino Resort.
This information filled free event will feature Christina Snider, Executive Secretary of the Native American Heritage Commission and Tribal Advisor to Governor Edmund G. Brown and
Dr. Patrick Arbore, founder and director of the Center for Elderly Suicide Prevention and Grief Related Services, a program of the Institute on Aging. Local speakers include Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians Tribal members Zandra & Dore Bietz, Ginger Martin from the Tuolumne County District Attorney’s Office & Victim Witness, and Bob White, Prevention Programs, YES Partnership Director, Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency.
The conference will include booths with local agency information, a continental breakfast, and lunch. Tuolumne County Behavioral Health will provide continuing education units for BBS, BRN, and Addiction Specialist.
Doors will open at 8:00 am for check-in and the Conference will begin at 8:30 and will continue through 4:00 pm with guest speakers and informative presentations.
