Cooking Club for Kids
Date(s) - 01/18/2017
We have a small classroom in the back of the Farmory full of materials and activities to do. One of our teenage volunteers has organized a Cooking Club once a month for Kids who want to learn how to cook. She taught us how to make Taco Soup – 5 attended. We have room for 10. This month I will be teaching how to make Tamales. Children will learn the basic ingredients to make the MASA and a basic bean and cheese filling. Cooking students will learn how to measure, their conversions and will leave with three Tamales that they can steam at home. The Cooking Club will serve Tamales so kids can taste them and critique. We have room for 10 kids ages 7-15. We already have 4 members leaving 6 spots for new club members. Kids should bring their aprons and a small folders to save recipes from the Club. Note taking is encouraged. This is a great Hobby for Kids! www.learningwithcrafts.com for more information. Or call Diana at 209-288-8163.
