Angelo's Hall, Columbia
Call the Tuolumne County Arts Alliance at 209-532-2787, or visit www.infocus-tcaa.org for rules.
We are happy to announce that we will be in Columbia State Park again this year. We were so happy with how many people saw the show last year because of all the foot traffic in the State Park. Plan on bringing your friends and family. Show them your work and the work of all the other talented photographers that participate in the annual Photography Show. While you are there you can enjoy the Columbia State Park and all it has to offer!
Entries will be juried from the web-based competition management system “Smarter Entry” to select the accepted works. Awards will be made by the jurors viewing the accepted works after the entries have been received by InFocus. Accepted entries may be disqualified by the InFocus Committee or the judges if they fail to comply with framing rules or vary significantly from the electronic version of the photo.
Photographs will be judged in six categories: Landscapes, Nature, People, Man-Made, Elements of Design, and in celebration of our exhibition’s 30th anniversary, a special category, Images of Tuolumne County sponsored by the Tuolumne County Visitor’s Bureau (TCVB). Definitions of these categories and examples of each are available on the InFocus website at http://www.infocus-tcaa.org/categories.html. Each category may have both color and monochrome images. Submissions of original works of photographic art may include but are not limited to classic film and digital photography.
Cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded in each regular category: $200 for First Place, $100 for Second Place and $50 for Third Place. Additional ribbons will be awarded for Honorable Mention and Judge’s Choice. The Best of Show will receive $300 and a ribbon. The photos in our special category “Images of Tuolumne County” will be judged by The Tuolumne County Visitor’s Bureau (TCVB) and their Anniversary Award winner will receive $500, a ribbon and a trophy. This image will also be used by the TCVB in their promotional material for a year. Each of our competition judges will select their Judge’s Anniversary Award in this special category. Winners will receive $50 and a ribbon. The Charles Moore Excellence in Photography Award* winner will receive $250 and a trophy. Recipients of the Sponsor Awards will receive $25 and a ribbon. A People’s Choice award will be presented at the end of the show to the photograph receiving the most votes by gallery viewers. Each award may also be eligible for a merchandise prize.
