Columbia College will present its spring concert “Symphony of the Sierra” at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30th in the Dogwood Theater.  The wide-ranging repertoire promises to be a performance well worth hearing.  According to orchestra conductor, Mic Harper, “The repertoire provides a wonderful introduction to orchestral music for children and is complex enough to satisfy the seasoned classical ear.”

The orchestra is delighted to feature local flautist and orchestra member, Phoenix Farris, soloist for Cécile Chaminade’s Concertino.  Concert repertoire includes, Finlandia by Sibelius, works by Dello Joio, Gabrieli, Beethoven, and Warlock. The concert is free and the public are invited to attend.
