IOOF Cemetery in Sonora
The Sonora Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) needs your flower bulbs! For the past year, the Sonora Odd Fellows have been restoring the historic Sonora Odd Fellows cemetery at 115 West Lytton Street. The cemetery is one of the countyʼs oldest cemeteries, and is the final resting place of many of communityʼs found members and honored veterans. Due to declining and aging membership, the cemetery fell into disrepair for decades. Through hard work and their Adopt a Grave program, the Sonora Odd Fellows have made many improvements and are committed to doing much more. Now they are ready to plant some drought-resistant flowers, but desperately need some bulbs.
Sonora Odd Fellows are a non-profit organization looking for any bulb donations, which the group will happily plant. No work is required, just the bulbs! All bulb donations can be dropped off at the Cemetery, 115 West Lytton Street, on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from
9 a.m to 2 p.m.
