Black Oak Casino Resort is sponsoring a coat drive through Saturday, December 19, encouraging guests donate coats and jackets that are new or lightly used to benefit local families. The Resort has set up a drop-off point at its Willow Creek Lounge, and all of the coats collected during the coat drive will be donated to Interfaith Social Services of Tuolumne County, which provides services to needy families in Tuolumne County such as food, clothing, house hold items, hair care, showers, befriending, job and housing referral.
The coat drive will culminate on December 19 from noon to 8 p.m. in which everyone who donates a coat will receive a free “I shared the Warmth” t-shirt from the Resort. “In this season of giving, we wanted to design a program to support families in our area,” said Aaron Moss, General Manager of Black Oak Casino Resort.
The inspiration for the coat drive came from outfits worn by members of the Black Oak Casino promotional team who don jackets promoting “Home for the Holidays,” a $500,000 dream home giveaway. All of those jackets will be donated on December 19 as part of the coat drive.
