Due to damage from the Butte Fire some of the artists are unable to participate in the Artist Studio Tour, but it will go on as planned. Please go to our website, www.calaverasarts.org, for an updated listing of artists and locations.

Many artists at several locations are featured both Saturday and Sunday, September 26-27, 2015. Locations are open from 10am to 5:00pm each day. The Calaveras Artists Studio Tour is free to the public. Maps can be found on-line or picked up at the Arts Council in San Andreas, Victoria’s Frame Shop, CAMPS Restaurant, and Calaveras Visitors Bureau in Angels Camp, the Senior Center in San Andreas, Mokelumne Hill Library, JoMa’s Artisan Ice Cream Shop in Murphys, SNAC in Arnold, and many other locations in the county and surrounding foothills. Each studio location has maps and brochures available as well.

Calaveras artists are excited to welcome you into their homes, gallery, and studios where you can see and purchase their creations. Visit Cate Culver’s studio in Mountain Ranch, Sonya Ziegler and or Andy Trinkle’s studios on Highway 26 in Glencoe, Quyle Kilns of Highway 4 in Murphys, just to name a few. Visit the Calaveras Arts Council’s Gallery at 22 N. Main Street, San Andreas and preview the artists’ works as well as purchase an opportunity to win one of their preview art pieces.

Follow the fuchsia arrows and you will travel through Calaveras County towns, back roads and country neighborhoods in Arnold, Murphys, San Andreas, Mokelumne Hill, Glencoe, Mountain Ranch, and Sheep Ranch. Spread your trip over both Saturday and Sunday for a leisurely journey through the dramatic fall landscape. Simply pack up family and friends and discover that Calaveras art is as enjoyable as its wine and gold rush towns.
