The Original 7th Annual All Hallows Fantasy Faire returns to the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora. This year’s theme will be celebrating the world of SciFi, or as we would like to say, “All Hallows Strikes Back!” Inhabiting the two-day event will be characters from the legendary Star Wars™ epics. With the release of the seventh Star Wars™ Movie and this being our seventh faire, it all seemed so galactically possible!
The Fantasy Faire is a two-day all inclusive costume play event! The event hosts hundreds of visiting creatures from outer space and characters from your favorite fairy tales and Hollywood movies. This fun-filled family weekend will take place on Saturday and Sunday, October 24 & 25th. The faire offers many exciting venues to hear live music, enjoy themed food and drink, buy unique items, and marvel at jugglers, sideshow freaks, fire-eaters, and magicians. The public is advised to wear their favorite costume and get into the fun and thrills of the faire!

Music is always one of the favorites at the faire and this year will be more crazy& eclectic! Wicked Tinkers will headline this year with some wild Tribal Celtic sounds. The Black Irish Band will be making an appearance at the faire with their famous pirate shanties, celebrating 26 years. The band will be also celebrating the release of their 25th CD entitled- “Give us all Yer Whiskey. The faire will also be featuring the haunted sounds of the Dead Highland Bagpipers.
The centerpiece for the faire is the Celtic Village Marketplace. You will find there many interesting streets and a town center where many activities take place. Highlights of the village include over fifty vendors & craftsmen showcasing their work. You can find a great variety of items for yourself or holiday gifts. A Food Court with many varieties of traditional and modern food will also be available in the village. The village will also offer the Slaughtered Lamb Tavern, featuring ales, beers, and frightful adult beverages! Warrior encampments will again be featured at this year’s faire.

The faire will present the Dark Boar Vikings along with the Celtic Warriors. Throughout the day, hundreds of strange creatures will also be visiting the faire. Many will be fantasy characters from your childhood dreams, but some will be from your childhood nightmares. Creatures include: dragons, minotaurs, ghost pirates, skeletons, witches, furry animals, vampires, and lots of zombies! Featured venues this year will showcase vampire hunters, zombie hunters, ghost hunters, fairies, trolls, Star Wars Storm troopers, Beetle Juice, and more. The group Danse Macabre will be on parade throughout the weekend performing their own brand of “Dance of the Dead”

So much fantasy will be offered for the entire family to enjoy, such as: high-energy jugglers, ghost stories by Carpathian, Witches Row, Fairyland, the Pumpkin Patch, Professor Algernon-“Steampunk Illusionist’, Pirate School and more. Don’t’ miss trick-or-treating with the vendors and encampments for the kids and All NEW kids costume contest. The faire also offers a fire-breathing dragon and a large Saturday evening costume contest with prizes, fire show, and the traditional Burning of the Harvestman!
