The 42nd annual 4-H Community Dinner, hosted by Tuolumne County 4-H on Saturday, January 17 at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. The barbecued tri-tip dinner served from 4-7 PM includes baked potato, green salad, dinner roll, beverages, ice cream and cookie.
Tickets are $12 Adult and $8 child under 12 or senior 65 & over. Tickets are available from 4-H members, at the UCCE/4-H office or for the same price at the door. Family tickets are $40 for up to 5 people, pre-sale only. Take-out meals are available.
The Decorated Cake Auction begins at 5:30 PM. 4-H members bake and decorate cakes of all sizes which are on display during the dinner. There is also a Silent Auction, 4-H project displays and a poster contest.
The 4-H community service project for the Dinner is helping ReHorse Rescue Ranch feed their horses this winter. Everyone is invited to contribute and sign the banner to be delivered with the hay. The goal is 100 bales of hay, at $20 each, which is enough to feed the horses for 2 weeks. Come to the Dinner to learn about ReHorse Rescue and other 4-H service projects.
All the Dinner proceeds support 4-H youth activities in Tuolumne County for the coming year. All donations are tax deductible. For more information, contact the 4-H Office at 533-6990.
