Japanese Students Need Immediate Housing

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — The “Help Sign” is out for Cultural Homestay International.

The non-profit group is scheduled to bring 23 Japanese students ranging in age from 10-19 to the U.S. Six of the students have already been assigned housing for their July 22nd to August 18th stay in the Mother Lode. 17 students remain unhoused and that´s the problem. The deadline for housing those students from Kagoshima, Japan is Thursday, July 20.

Once housed the students will meet at St. Matthew Luthern Church for classroom instruction in English from 9AM to 4PM. They will also take field trips to Pinecrest, Yosemite and San Francisco.

Cultural Homestay International has been sending Japanese students to the Mother Lode for over 20 years.

Interested families should contact Cadell Calabrese at (209) 559-5132. For additional information on Cultural Homestay International, please click HERE.
