Wine On Tap For Passport Weekend

Murphys, CA — All that Calaveras County has to offer in the way of wines is on tap for this weekend.

Beginning Friday and running through Sunday is the 10th annual Passport Weekend hosted by the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance.

The event features stops at 19 wineries throughout the county with over 100 local wines. Attendees can meet the winemakers and dine on gourmet food as they raise money for the alliance´s high school scholarship program.

Also included are live music, art shows, drawings and prizes.

Passports are $60 per person for all three days. Passports are validated at each winery and entered into drawings. Those who make it to all of the wineries get entered into a grand prize drawing.

Designated drivers are encouraged and receive a complimentary button, wine glass, non-alcoholic beverages, special discounts and drawings.
