Calaveras Board Honors Parents

San Andreas, CA — Good parenting does not go unrecognized in Calaveras County.
Monday the Board of Supervisors presented awards to worthy parents throughout the county.
The Prevent Child Abuse Council selects outstanding parents every year for the Parent Leadership Award.
This year ten parents were picked. They were Cheri Combs of Burson, Nicholette Lyman of West Point, Sarah Rose of West Point, Serena Gillette of San Andreas, Kris Flichtner of Avery, Albert Pacheco of Angels Camp, George and Joan Loomis of Altaville, Sharon Mejia of Valley Springs, Michelle Scott of Valley Springs, and Jesse Limas of San Andreas.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.
